Construction for the Next Generation

Low & Zero Carbon Buildings

Constructing homes for the future will require the innovation of ancient construction materials couple with state of the art design and fabrication techniques to deliver homes with a minimal CO2 footprint.

Oxford Eco Build have a policy of not only aiming to work with a minimum of waste, but also to offer our clients the option of offsetting the unnavoidable CO2 emissions of their project through projects we have actively selected and approved.

Low and Zero Carbon Buildings are not only acheivable, we can now go beyond zero carbon and lock carbon away within the building fabrick rendering the entire building process beyond carbon nuetral.

Energy Efficient Homes of the Future

With the combination of low and zero carbon building technology, good design, orientation and insulation, it is possible to create homes and commercial buildings with appropriate technologies built into them to provide all the energy required within the building and enough to export to the immediate neighbourhood.

Solar thermal technology if designed properly can provide all the required heating and hot water requirements, even in large commercial buildings. Hybrid renewable energy systems are the multisource fuel of today. Oxford Eco Build can design and install integrated sytems utilizing multiple resources to generate heat & power, including Solar photovoltaic systems, Solar thermal, Wind, Hydro and coppice design and management to provide biomass for heating systems.

Straw Bale & Lime Technology

Oxford Eco Build are now manufacturing their own prefabricated, made - to - order strawbale structural - load - bearing walls for new build and extensions.

External Wall Insulation

Following the successful completion of 2 external wall insulation projects in Oxford. Oxford Eco Build are expanding their wall insulation department into providing a wider range of insulating systems including:

Hemp Bats
Heraclith; recycled wood and mineral wool insulation.
Eco Therm, pollyeurathane foam & expanded stainless steel mesh.

Below the DPC we use foam glass, a waterproof insulation material which is virtually indestructible. Manufactured from 66% recycled glass, silicone and bitumen, this insulator is waterproof and impermeable.

All of these systems can be finished with, sand and cement (High CO2 footprint), lime renders (CO2 Neutral) or any combination of other external cladding system.
