Rutherway Solar Thermal
3 Solar thermal flat roof installations in a row in Oxford using Ritter CPC Innox (Compound Parabolic Collectors) panel collectors mounted on a flat dormer loft conversion roof.

This flat roof installation utilises a system which does not penetrate the roof therefore preserving the warranty on of the new roof.

At the pre-commissioning stage the CPC Innox collectors are fitted with a sun cover to prevent them over heating. As standard all our collectors are fitted with overvoltage disconnection systems which protect the solar controller from destruction during electrical storms. The box mounted on the support leg is the overvoltage disconnection unit.

Once the system is filled with fluid, pressure tested and controllers activated and it has been deemed sound and the sun cover is removed and the system is fully commissioned.

Solar Thermal System in Wolvercote

Solar PV & Wind Turbine Installed on a Dutch Barge
This installation features the MKII Whisper Mount.

Solar Narrow Boat
2 130 Watt Kyocera KC130s mounted on a narrow boat. The panels are mounted in this configuration to allow for the positionining of the roof vents and centre divide.

Hybrid Narrow Boat
Here is another example of the MkII Whisper mount system fitted on a small narrow boat.

Solar Thermal Repairs
Oxford Eco Build undertake solar thermal repairs and systems flushing.
Solar thermal repairs may simply mean the replacement of old corroded parts, pump maintenance, repair or replacement of the controller due to lightning strikes or outher EMF surges or simply just a bi-annual system flush.

The evacuated tube in the picture above (with the white patch) has lost its vaccuum and the selective surface has been corroded by the ingress of moisture. This system was installed over 10 years ago and never really worked properly. We found a number of issues with the system; There was no flow control to regulate and set the flow rate, there was no way of properly filling and flushing the system,

PV and Off Grid Ventilations System Installation at Spaniards End, Hampstead

Oxford Eco Build have taken a special interest in the design and installation of flat roof mounting systems which do not penetrate the roof.
