Welcome to the Low Carbon Mapping Project

This website has been optimised to work with Firefox, Safari (Mac) and Google Chrome I am still experiencing some issues with MS Internet Explorer but working to solve them, I appologise to IE fans.

The Low carbon mapping project is aimed at any community or individual who wants to access goods and services to assist them to reduce their emissions and businesses who can offer those services to our users. The mapping project is a locally orientated national project with a localised focus.

Using Google Maps we are building an interactive database which is map based enabling communities to map their local assets, resources and services as well as see those of their neighboring communities. Each community is entitled to a position marker with basic information about their community simply by sending an email to us.

There are 2 routes to getting your community mapped:

  1. Through engaged local community mapping workshops held within a community. Workshops are designed to empower a community by assisting them to build a web based database of their community which we assist them to encode using our mapping tools and then display the data in the community map which is in an openly accessible format. Community mapping workshops are a 1 day event and cost £350. To make a booking or find out more email me.
  1. Communities can alternatively download a preformatted spreadsheet and then using our mapping tools, identify locations within their community, and then enter their details in the spreadsheet following these instructions. I costs about £10 per 5 entries to geocode map entries and a donation would be appreciated as it does cost tokeep the site running.
